Whirly Jig

Ch-ch-ch-changes   Hello Jiggers!   We would cordially like to welcome Merlot (Susan Atchley) to the family! She is a saucy chorus girl (for now ) and we love her, and her courage for jumping onto our stage and into our band.   A little background:   We were approached on Saturday and questioned about the whereabouts of one Miss Annie. We reminded said inquisitor that Annie was nestled in Scotland for another week, whereupon we were asked "well then where's her replacement?" We told her that we had someone in mind and we'd have it remedied soon.   Merlot helped pen 'The Koumori' with Daph and Strings and had been singing it onstage with us that day so Strings and Daph discussed "extending her engagement" and agreed that it was the best solution. Daph tore off in search of Merlot to pressgang...er, I mean "discuss Merlot joining Whirly Jig."   After a few heartflutters and words of encouragement, Merlot agreed and after the worlds shortest audition, she joined us onstage for her first "official show."   We presented her with a pin, and turned her loose on you all   New chapters in this tale are waiting to be written, and I'm thinking we may have to name the second album Jiggers, Pints and Bottles.   So please help us in giving Merlot a warm welcome!   And thanks for the many compliments this past weekend!
